About Us

Founded in between different countries, Sun Moon came into existence over walks in nature, tea conversations and yogic experiences. We are Athena, Dylan, and Eirini; three yogi’s with a big passion for nature, art, and yoga. We aim to inspire and motivate the people around us to make small changes into a better future. Through Sun Moon we want to facilitate a space where change is embraced, in order to connect with ourselves, each other and nature.

“May we heal ourselves, each other and the planet in any way that we can.”

Growing up, I always found my special place to be anywhere where there is nature. It was, and still is, a place that holds calm, peacefulness and ease. Whether it’d be in Greece underneath my grandfather’s grape tree, a walk in the park or simply spending time with my plants. They all had in common that the life within these green creatures and their biocultures made me feel fulfilled and happy. My parents, being musicians, kept me busy playing the violin, following dance classes and spending a lot of time surrounded by photography, film and art. My room was my little getaway where everything and anything was possible. During my high school time, I was enrolled in the conservatory’s young talent group and art & design preparatory course. Most of my projects had to do something with how we relate to nature versus how we relate to our city lives.

Practicing artistic forms fulltime my whole life and spending a lot of time with nature made me research our connection to the earth and to each other more thoroughly. I graduated as a filmmaker and visual artist from the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in the summer of ‘22, with a short film about a woman wanting to live like an animal in nature. During my time at the academy I also did my 100 hour meditation teacher training and 75 hour Jyotish training, during which I found out about the healing powers of yoga and our life in this universe. Immediately after my studies I decided to immerse myself even deeper into these practices and followed a 100 hour residential Jyotish training with Vish Chatterji at the Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh. Here I found a deep sense of purpose and healing, which inspired me to start building Sun Moon. I wanted to create a space where nature, healing and everyday life can merge together.

I am a curious soul. I have been exploring how best to live our lives together, and I suspect I will until the end of my days. This curiosity led me to many experiences, including assisting Earthship construction in New Mexico, visiting an ecovillage in rural Appalachia, and learning traditional Hatha yoga in north India. Through the people I’ve met, the skills I’ve acquired, and all the new ideas from these experiences, I synthesized some humble answers to my curiosity.

The most profound discovery I’ve internalized is that quieting my mind, opening my heart, and acting in a way to reduce suffering is the path to deep and lasting satisfaction.

Unfortunately, this is a long trail, and it was not taught to me by Western culture. It takes many windy detours through desire and fear. Ultimately, there is no destination on this path. Walking it with love and awareness is about the best we can ask for.

I facilitate connection to self, others, nature, and the planet at large.

I was born in Athens, Greece. As a child I was spending the long summer months on two Greek islands that revealed to me the magic of the earth. Falling asleep in the shadows of the trees, while listening to the rustling of the leaves.. Admiring the colors of the sunset and the moonlight.. swimming in the fresh waters of the Aegean, feeling as a part of something bigger.. And gazing at the stars of the milky way at nights..

Such feelings and sensations shaped me and helped me discover the beauty and power of nature.

I studied classical music first in Athens, later in Amsterdam and Graz, Austria and played as a professional musician with many orchestras and ensembles in Greece, Austria and the Netherlands as well as many other countries.

Yoga and meditation gave me great support through this musical journey. My need for balance and physical awareness became the guide to my new adventure.

Following several workshops and courses through the years, I got inspired by the holistic approach of the Himalayan master Yogrishi Vishvketu and I completed my yoga teacher training at his Akhanda Yoga institute, as well as 50 hours of Jyotish training with Vish Chatterji. Being a musician my curiosity grew around the healing properties of music and sound, which moved me into complete my level 1 healing with Tibetan bowls certificate.
